As well as priming your energy system, warming-up increases blood flow and your body temperature rises slightly. This increases the range of motion in your joints, your muscles feel less stiff and your pedal stroke becomes more fluid. Warming up also helps to prevent injury.

Begin any workout with this 20 minute progressive effort with a few minutes’ easy spinning.
